HMind is developed and operated by an independent individual developer under the HMind brand, not a company. This policy describes how information is handled in the apps, website and connected services. Contact: support@hmind.app. Local-only editing does not upload your maps; choosing sync or sharing sends the content needed for that feature.
Collection and purposes
The Personal Information Collection List describes each category, purpose and trigger. Account services, sync, sharing, purchases and support process the data needed for your request. Website security requests are necessary; optional website analytics is enabled by default and can be rejected or withdrawn through Cookie settings.
Local content and permissions
Local maps are kept in app-managed device storage. A .hmind export is a separate file for backup or transfer. File, photo and clipboard access is limited to the action you choose; available permissions depend on platform and version. Refusing an optional permission prevents that action. Uploading an avatar or feedback attachment sends it even if map sync is off.
Do not upload sensitive or third-party personal information unless you have authority to do so. Sharing makes selected content available to people with the link and any required password.
Payments
Stripe handles website/direct-download billing; App Store and Google Play handle purchases offered through their stores. HMind processes transaction and entitlement records, not full card numbers. Optional billing details entered with a payment provider are governed by its notice.
Providers and disclosure
The Third-Party Information Sharing List names providers, purposes and data. Hosting providers process data for HMind; identity and payment providers also operate their own services. A provider receives only data relevant to the feature or website request. HMind does not sell personal information or use it for advertising profiles.
Disclosures required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or involved in a business transfer are limited to what is lawful and necessary. A new purpose, public disclosure or other transfer requiring separate consent is subject to the applicable notice and consent requirements.
Storage, retention and security
Local content stays on your device. If you choose connected features, the data needed for those features is stored and processed by service providers listed in the Third-Party Information Sharing List. Third-party services may process data outside your country. This policy does not promise storage exclusively in your country or end-to-end encryption. Where required, cross-border processing is subject to additional notice, consent and other legal safeguards.
Account and cloud data are retained while needed for the selected service. Deleting an account locks access and removes connected data in stages; backups, security, billing and dispute records may remain only as needed for their purpose or applicable legal obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized. Encrypted transport and access controls reduce risk but do not guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Use local editing without an account, keep a map local-only, revoke a share link or reject website analytics. Turning off sync does not by itself erase an existing cloud copy. Revocation cannot retrieve copies saved by recipients.
Manage profile and account deletion through HMind account settings; the Delete account page explains the process. For access, copy, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection or withdrawal where applicable, email support@hmind.app. We may verify account ownership before acting. Withdrawals do not affect prior lawful processing; statutory retention duties may limit deletion. You may complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
Children and policy changes
HMind is not directed to children under 14 or a higher local age of digital consent. Minors who lack capacity to agree need a guardian. If a child’s information was submitted without required consent, contact support@hmind.app to request removal. Material changes will be notified and consent obtained where required.
